Q01. How many students currently attend at CIS?
  A. Approximately 280 students are studying at CIS. (Elementary: 50, Junior: 100, Senior: 130) 60% of students are female and 40% of students are male. 
     
Q02. What is the ratio of faculty per student?
  A. Classes range in size from 10-25 with the average class size being 16. Teacher-pupil ratio is 1:13.
     
Q03. How do I apply?
  A. The application process is as follows,
1.Pay 25,000yen by bank deposit for an admission fee.
2.Submit a completed application form with other necessary documents.
3.You will be contacted to set a date for your interview and entrance exam.  
4. You will receive your admission qualification within a couple of days.

Q04. Where is CIS located?
  A. CIS is located in Higashi-Tokorozawa, Saitama near Tokyo by train. It takes about 40 minutes from Shinjuku station, 60 minutes from Tokyo station and 30 minutes from Urawa station.
     
Q05. Is it possible for CIS students to enter universities in Canada, USA and another English speaking countries?
  A. Yes. Graduates from CIS are awarded OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) which is recognized throughout the English speaking world. Many graduates go to universities in Canada, USA, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and other foreign countries..
     
Q06. Is CIS accredited by the Japan Ministry of Education?
  A. No. CIS is accredited and annually inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and follows the Ontario curriculum. CIS is also accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).
     
Q07. Can my son/daughter enter CIS anytime throughout the year?
  A. Yes. CIS accepts applicants throughout the year and has a flexible entry policy. Please contact us prior to your application to confirm class vacancy.

Q08. What subjects do the students study in Saturday school? 
  A. Students in Saturday School study several subject, such as Math, Science, Art and Music. 
     
Q09. Are there summer and winter holidays?
  A. Yes. Summer holidays are during July and August, winter holidays begin in December through to early January, and, spring holidays are from the end of March through to early April.
     
Q10. What is the enrollment policy?
  A. There is a limited number of spaces available for each grade. Enrollment is on a first come first served bases. Please enroll early.
